Things are hopping…

The water is rising, the septic fields have been approved, we now have a 911 address, and the lots are being cleared.

Happy, happy, happy and a little sad…

After waiting for months to start on camper sites, I’m excited we started today.  I also have to admit, I’m a little sad to see such beautiful creations of God hitting the ground. I know God’s blessings are on the campground, but I wish the trees were being used for something instead of being burned. In the first picture here, that tree extends from one side of the picture to the other.  The bushy part on the left is the top of the tree.

Oh my, the Boat Ramp/Launch

The boat ramp has been a little stressful .  Knowing the water would begin rising on April 9, we had to hustle to get concrete poured and then to add the stone to the end of the ramp where the water is.  WC had to move the stone to the bottom of the hill and down the ramp with his tractor.  The Lord was certainly watching over him, because he rolled the tractor and it flipped twice trying to get the rock down the hill.  Thankfully, he was wearing his seat belt and the tractor has a good roll bar.

Our First Event: Easter Picnic/Egg Hunt

DeDes little buddy!

It was a family affair because we have no campers yet, but this is just first of many events yet to come.  And our campers will be invited.  We hid 130 eggs for three kids to hunt.  They got tired and left the eggs to play at the edge of the water and on the swing!

Beautiful Sight

I finally managed to photograph the eagle at the RV Park so you could tell what it was.

Taking Shape…

In this picture, made by Shirley Albright Bunn, you can see the boardwalk around the edge of the water.  We have worked moving trash, debris, rocks, etc. from the edge of the boardwalk all the way to the creek.  We still have a little more to move before the water comes up and then we will have a great swimming area for anyone who wants to swim at their own risk..
