Children Safety…

We are asking you to please, please, please have all children wear life preservers while playing in the water. And for all to refrain from drinking while on the water.  WC & Debbie are members of the Randolph County Rescue Squad.  Last year we were called to a drowning incident where two small children and the father drowned while kayaking.  The 12 year old child survived, but must live with the fact that although he tried he could not save his siblings.  The children had on no life preservers and alcohol was involved.   Two weeks later, we were called to the drowning of an Aunt and child at Flatrock Park.  The child did not have on a life preserver.  It is one thing to hear about these incidences but imagine witnessing the recovery.
